[SCAM Alert] LATOKEN Exchange Review

[SCAM Alert] LATOKEN Exchange Rating Analysis

WARNING – THIS IS A SCAM EXCHANGE

They are promoting scam IEOs.

They are promoting IEOs promising growth of 100% to 500%.

They are cheating and lying to founders and employees.

They are misleading founders to think they will have successful IEOs while it never happens.

They will not disclose who are the shareholders or directors of the company.

We urge you to stay away from LATOKEN and not entrust them with any of your funds!

LATOKEN is a cryptocurrency exchange aimed at those who prefer a very wide range of coins to trade from, and boasts low fees among seemingly attractive features. It was launched in 2020 and in October of that year completed its ICO, raising $19.6M in Ether by selling its LA token. To this day, LATOKEN have not provided concrete evidence or documentation that presents viable token economics which justify the value of the token and its title of “utility token”, although they are constantly trying to convince users that it is one.

LATOKEN’s User Experience is average. No KYC is required to start trading (a bonus for some and concern for others) and the website quality is fair. Customer support are quick to reply and answer your question. The platform’s performance is average at best: many outlets claim LATOKEN is reporting fake volume numbers which are coordinated by the exchange itself to boost its rankings. If true, it must mean that the representation of the platform’s performance is questionable – The trade matching engine might appear to withstand a heavy load, but if and when “real” volume comes along we have no way of determining if the infrastructure upon which the exchange is built is capable of handling such situations without hiccups.

Features on LATOKEN are lacking; While there is a wide range of coins to trade, the vast majority of them are illiquid, and if the volume-faking reports are to be believed, then these pairs might even have no liquidity at all. The exchange offers no other trading options other than spot trading and no mobile app, and its only real extra feature is the ability to purchase crypto with a credit card.

The LATOKEN team is large and most are based in Moscow. However, we have received personal testimonies from former LATOKEN employees detailing the sad reality of working at the company: Daily scrutiny from higher ranking employees, a mafia-like behavior by top executives and unheard of business practices endorsed by the company. After cross-examining these type of reports from many different sources, we are sad to report that we believe the human factor at LATOKEN is unworthy of doing business with.

LATOKEN manages to create a considerable social media presence, providing promotions to encourage trading, listing new coins frequently and maintaining several communication channels.

Finally, our Trust in LATOKEN’s ability to safeguard user funds is extremely low. While they were never hacked, LATOKEN’s regulatory status is quite unclear: it is incorporated in Singapore, where crypto laws could be seen as a bit “loose”. They do keep some user funds in cold storage, although they don’t mention how much. Additionally, there seems to be a significant amount of users who report that the exchange is making it hard for them to withdraw their money, with the withdrawal system either not working or withholding user funds altogether, and no real help offered or given by the customer support team. We do believe something in the “let-users-withdraw-their-own-money” workflow is broken or at least not functioning as well as it should, and it also might even be a deliberate attempt by the exchange to take money out of users’ pockets.

Finally, we have directly received reports from projects who worked with LATOKEN alongside internal employee testimonies which describe the terrible state of affairs inside the company, the way they deliberately try to scam money out of projects and into their own pockets and so for us – LATOKEN is currently best avoided.

First hand testimony by a person that LATOKEN scammed for over $18K.

Trustpilot – A trust rating aggregator, on which 61% of LATOKEN reviews are negative, while the positive ones have been suggested to be orchestrated or funded by the exchange team.

Bitcointalk – One of many threads on the forum site with multiple accounts of users accusing the exchange of being a scam, stealing tokens from them, etc.

List of all Scam Trading platforms and Crypto Currency Exchanges and their owners

This Blog is intended to expose the Fraud and Scam Artists that are destroying a community of hard workers and dedicated traders, enthusiasts and investors alike that, are ruining everything we stand for in the

Great World of Virtual Currency. Everyone is welcomed to add new information about any suspect Exchange they may come across, or any individual that may have scammed others, attempted or is about to harm this community we stand for and support.

Many have also been scammed on Ebay, for their CEX Gh/s and/or coins as well as mining time sold as contracts, please let us know their names on their respective account on such sites, so we can steer clear from them.

Also we are faced with an extensive amount of different coins, that are flooding the market, we see at least 10-15 new coins every week, some are worthy some are designed to be dumped on the people at the exchanges by greedy Developers on a regular basis.

We. at least I question many of these coins, as sometimes is to late by the time the public is aware, by then the damage is done and we are left with a bag hoping for increase in our initial investment.

These scams have to also be prevented and one should look out for the same Developer with one two many coins on the market.

Please voice your opinion on these matters also, the damage is very painful and it leaves us with no room to breathe, “not everything that flies, is good to eat”.

Asiacoin is a great example of that scam as the Dev claimed there were only 360 Mil coins available, as it turns out it was over 3 Bil, by then the Dev has cashed in more than $250,000 USD.

These type of scams are very damaging to individuals as well as the life of Crypto Currencies in the future, they have to be stopped and held accountable for their actions, we cannot allow this to happen any longer.

We are part of a currency that could put an end to the word, 3rd world countries and benefit such impoverished nations, a currency that is most hated by the Banking Industry and “Flip the Bird” to inflation, it’s time we have real value in hand rather than “toilet paper” called Money.

The benefits behind Virtual Currency such as, fast transactions, low fees, the inability to counterfeit or manipulate, cannot be destroyed by a few and greedy unscrupulous men that are lurking among us looking to steal from the honest and the unsuspected individual.

We cannot risk the downfall of this currency, as there will be no other like it.

Virtual Currency is still in it’s infancy and you can consider yourself’s pioneers in this trend, you and us as a community bring great support trough the time spent, energy, the cost of mining, expensive hardware, so therefore, help yourself and others by sharing your bad experiences and others will follow. Please put your input on how can a person spot such scams, or what a person can do to protect them self’s.

We need to flush out , expose and hold accountable the scum that preys on this great community.

Thanks for your reply. I am another victim of SIMPLEX.com.

On 14th Dec, I purchased bitcoins from bitcoin.com. Until today, there is no sign of any bitcoins being delivered.

I have raised many support tickets but what I got was only automated replies from SIMPLEX support and false assurances.

If you can not deliver the bitcoins, please send me my money back.

Re: Simplex.com is Scam Stay AWAY – NO Bitcoin’s they send on larger transactions

I did a first purchase on bitcoin.com for $200 US as a test. I see it pending in my bank account under SIMPLEX_BITSTAMP .

However I got an email from simplex.com asking me for a scanned photo of my drivers license or passport?? This seems like a huge scam. Glad I didn’t through more money away, wish I had only bought $1 of bitcoin.

Simplex is not a scam service, and i am sure everyone here either got the bitcoins they had ordered or a full refund.

Simplex has been operating for a long time now, and i do not know of 1 solid scam claim against them. Some people do have to wait longer than others, and some need to send extra info and ID, but everyone get’s what they pay for from Simplex.

Powercoin.top Exchange Review: Stay Away From This Exchanger. Scam!

When i tried to login to csgo exchange, i was met with this message from Steam:

“The URL you are attempting to log in to has been blocked by our moderators and staff. This site may be engaged in phishing, scamming, spamming, or delivering malware.”

EDIT: I’ve contacted Steam support and requested/suggested that they add sticker damage % into the inspect screen in game. Probably won’t happen, but there’s no harm in asking.

EDIT: Everyone I’ve talked to about this is experiencing the same problem. It IS the official CSGO Exchange site and not one of the fakes. It’s still possible to log into the site by clicking the “continue anyway” option below the warning (the site itself is still up and running). However, JUST IN CASE they can take your Steam login name and password, you can either use an alternate Steam account without any valuables, or you can log in with your regular account and change your password as soon as you’re done checking whatever you needed to check. Since there aren’t any downloads or item deposit/trades, i think Steam ID/password is the only thing that’s potentially at risk. For those saying it’s 100% safe, go ahead, but i prefer to use one of the aforementioned counter measures just to be on the safe side. Completely disregarding a warning from Steam that they went out of their way to provide is a bit too dangerous IMO. There are some genius level hackers out there, IMO it’s possible for someone to replicate the Steam login page AND log into steam AND record your login name and password. Just because the page says they use some encrypted method for the login doesn’t mean it’s true! A genius hacker of that calibre won’t put in the time and effort for just any scam. but if they can succeed in the way I’ve described, it’s worth millions upon millions in profit. A hacker with a 160+ IQ could probably do things most of us can’t even imagine.
